If you’re looking for one of the best family mornings in Las Vegas, head to Gilcrease Orchard before the summer heat takes over. The orchard is currently open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and we highly recommend arriving as close to opening time as possible for the best selection and cooler temperatures.
The good news? No reservations or admission tickets are currently required. Just show up, grab a basket, and start exploring.

Breakfast & Sweet Treats
Need breakfast after picking?

Before you leave, cool off with a popsicle from the Popsicle Stand—a favorite stop on warm Las Vegas mornings.
Vegas Local View Tips
If it’s your first visit, here are a few things that will make your morning much easier:
- Arrive right when the orchard opens for cooler weather and the best produce selection.
- Bring your own garden shears or pruning snips if you’re harvesting vines or produce that needs cutting.
- A small hand spade or trowel is helpful when digging up items that require it.
- Wear closed-toe shoes or boots. The orchard has plenty of stickers, thorns, and uneven ground.
- Long pants are highly recommended to protect your legs from prickly plants.
- Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and plenty of water—Las Vegas mornings heat up quickly, even before 10 a.m.
- Parking is completely free.
- Pets are not allowed, so leave your furry friends at home.
- Bring your camera! The rows of fruit trees and gardens make a beautiful backdrop for family photos, and you’ll be glad you captured the memories while picking together.
Before You Leave
All produce is weighed and paid for at the cashier before you exit. Be sure to keep your receipt handy, as you’ll need to show it when leaving the orchard.
Whether you’re stocking up on fresh produce or simply looking for a fun outdoor activity, Gilcrease Orchard is one of our favorite ways to spend a summer morning in Las Vegas.
