Looking for free events in Las Vegas in July 2026? The city of Las Vegas is celebrating Parks and Recreation Month with outdoor movies, pool parties, gallery tours, family performances, senior activities and community raffles.
Not every activity is completely free, but most cost $10 or less per person. That makes this a useful list for local families trying to get out of the house without spending a small fortune—which is getting harder to do in Las Vegas.
Events are scheduled from July 11 through July 18, 2026, at city pools, community centers, galleries and arts facilities. Residents can also enter gift basket raffles at participating city community centers, active adult centers, cultural centers and pools throughout July.

Las Vegas Events on Saturday, July 18
Run and Inflatable Fun
Date: Saturday, July 18, 2026
Check-in: 7:30 a.m.
Race begins: 8 a.m.
Location: Pavilion Center Pool
Address: 101 S. Pavilion Center Drive
Cost: $10 per participant
Listed for: Ages 7 and older
This event begins with a one-mile fun run around the Pavilion Center Pool campus. Participants will then head into the pool for turns on an inflatable obstacle course.
Anyone using the inflatable must pass a 25-yard swim test. Registration is available through the pool or the city’s recreation registration system.
VLV reality check: This is not the best choice for a child who is merely comfortable playing in shallow water. Participants should be confident swimmers who can complete the required swim test without assistance.

Parks and Recreation Month Raffles
Throughout July, residents can enter gift basket raffles at participating city of Las Vegas:
- Community centers
- Active adult centers
- Cultural centers
- Swimming pools
The city has not published one centralized list showing every participating raffle location or the entry requirements. Ask the front desk when visiting a city facility.
What to Bring to These July Events
Most of these events do not require much equipment, but a little preparation can make a major difference during a Las Vegas summer.
For outdoor movies, consider bringing:
- Lightweight folding chairs
- A portable blanket
- Insulated water bottles
- A battery-operated fan or cooling towel
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
For pool activities, bring:
- Swimsuits
- Quick-dry towels
- Dry clothes
- A bag for wet items
- Waterproof phone pouches
- Water shoes, when permitted
Always check the individual facility’s rules before bringing rafts, inflatables, outside food or oversized pool equipment.
Are These Las Vegas Events Really Free?
Some are free, but not all of them.
The outdoor movie and gallery tours are free. The pool parties and other activities cost between $3 and $10 per person.
For a family of four, the total admission cost could range from free to $40 before food, drinks or other purchases. That is still relatively affordable by Las Vegas entertainment standards, but the events should not all be described as free.
