Looking for something your teen can actually do this week? This list includes events specifically intended for teens, students in grades 6–12 or young people under 18, along with selected all-ages activities that older kids and teens may genuinely enjoy.

Age policies, ticket availability and schedules can change. Check the event organizer’s registration page before leaving home, especially for limited-capacity and ticketed events.

Monday, July 27

Starlab Dome Planetarium Experience: Constellations

Time: 12:30–4:30 p.m.
Location: Enterprise Library, 8310 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas

Ages: 3–17

Step inside a portable planetarium for a guided look at constellations and the night sky. Each presentation is limited to approximately 15 participants, and tickets are distributed at the library beginning 30 minutes before each session. There are no sessions scheduled between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.

The enclosed dome and moving presentation may not be comfortable for guests who experience motion sickness.

Tuesday, July 28

Family Skate Night at Crystal Palace

Time: 11 a.m.–9 p.m.

This is a low-pressure option for teens who want something active but do not necessarily want another organized camp or children’s activity. Admission includes the skate rental, making it an easy weekday outing for siblings or a group of friends.

Portland Fire vs. Las Vegas Aces

The Las Vegas Aces take on the Portland Fire in a Tuesday-night WNBA matchup. This may be one of the better choices for sports-loving teens, especially those involved in basketball or school athletics.

Sensory-Friendly Hours at Spy Ninjas HQ

Time: 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Location: Spy Ninjas HQ, 7980 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas
Cost: Regular attraction admission or pass pricing applies
Ages: All ages; individual attraction restrictions may apply

During sensory-friendly hours, background music is turned off, arcade sounds are lowered or muted and lighting is adjusted to create a calmer environment. Regular sound and lighting return after 1 p.m.

This could work well for neurodivergent teens or anyone who enjoys arcades and physical challenges but finds the usual noise level overwhelming.

CardinaleWay Cares Back-to-School Block Party

Time: 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

The event is expected to include free backpacks and school supplies, haircuts, food, entertainment, activities and community resources. Every participating student and accompanying adult must have a ticket. Organizers state that guests without tickets will not be admitted.

Thursday, July 30

Pack the Mack Back-to-School Giveaway

Morning Session: 7–11 a.m.
Evening Session: 4–8 p.m.

Pack the Mack plans to distribute approximately 15,000 backpacks filled with school supplies. The event also advertises meals, haircuts, dental screenings, sports physicals and other school-readiness services.

Note that the official event schedule lists two separate sessions—7–11 a.m. and 4–8 p.m.—rather than one continuous daytime event.

Future in Focus: Student Empowerment Conference

Time: 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Location: UNLV Hospitality Hall
Cost: $25; lunch is included
Grades: 6–12
Registration: Required

This full-day student conference focuses on leadership, goal setting, personal development, career exposure and preparing for life after high school. Middle-school and high-school students have separate registration options, making this one of the week’s most directly teen-focused events.

New York Liberty vs. Las Vegas Aces

Sensory Swim at Desert Breeze Aquatic Center

Sensory Swim offers a quieter and slower-paced pool experience with reduced noise. Water features remain off for most of the session and are activated only during the final 30 minutes.

This is open to all ages but is particularly intended to provide a more comfortable environment for neurodivergent swimmers and guests with sensory sensitivities.

Saturday, August 1

Sunrise Hike: Ranger’s Choice

Time: 5–7:30 a.m.
Location: Ice Age Fossils State Park, 8660 N. Decatur Blvd., North Las Vegas
Cost: $3 per person; children 12 and younger are free
Ages: All ages; visitors 17 and younger must attend with an adult
Registration: Required

Beat the worst of the summer heat with an early 1.5-mile ranger-led hike through Ice Age Fossils State Park. The route includes uneven terrain, so closed-toe walking shoes and plenty of water are essential.

Participants must arrive between 5 and 5:20 a.m. The entrance gate will close after the group begins the hike. Registration is limited to 40 participants and closes at noon on July 31 or when capacity is reached.

AC/DC POWER UP Tour

Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Allegiant Stadium, 3333 Al Davis Way, Las Vegas

AC/DC brings the POWER UP Tour to Allegiant Stadium for one of the week’s biggest concerts. The stadium’s published child-ticket policy confirms that minors are permitted inside the venue, although all guests must follow stadium entry and bag policies.

Nature Art for Kids: Wetlands Waterways

Participants will create an art project inspired by the waterways and natural environment of Wetlands Park. Supplies are included. Although the program serves a broad age range, artistic teens who enjoy nature, sketching or environmental subjects may appreciate it.

Back-to-School Fair at Spring Valley Library

Stop by for school supplies while quantities last, along with crafts, games and other back-to-school activities. Arriving near the beginning of the event is the safest choice if supplies are the main reason for attending.

Family Movie at The George: Frozen II

The George is hosting a morning screening of Frozen II with a character meet-and-greet before the movie. This one skews younger than most events on the list, but it remains an inexpensive indoor option for teens accompanying younger siblings or families looking for a Monday activity.
